A field manual is only useful if its steps work when you follow them. Every Seller Deal Desk page is checked and approved by a responsible human editor before publication. That editor is Sophia, and no page is published until that person has reviewed it.

Standards for a playbook

  • Practical first. Each playbook should tell you what to do next, in what order, and what to write down. Background is kept short.
  • Labeled kinds of instruction. General advice, documented product behavior and demonstrated UI steps are marked differently, as described in the methodology.
  • Honest limits. Where a step depends on a seller’s preferences, local law or your own capacity, the page says so.
  • Provider-neutral where possible. Buy-box, qualification, follow-up and review advice is written to work on any platform. Product-specific steps are clearly attached to the product they describe.

When we call something demonstrated

Only after a real account session on a recorded date, with authentic redacted screens and a step list checked against the live interface. No such session has been published yet. Until then, product references read “documented from the provider’s public materials,” with the date checked.

AI assistance

AI tools help us draft playbooks, turn worksheet specifications into accessible page structure and check for missing caveats. They are not a source of product facts and they have not used any product on our behalf. We say a human reviewed a page only when one has.

Compliance-sensitive advice

Contact with sellers is subject to federal and state calling, texting and marketing rules, including the TCPA and do-not-call requirements, and to the seller’s stated preferences. Our follow-up material is planning guidance, not legal advice, and we do not publish scripts or cadences that would encourage ignoring a seller’s request to stop.

What we will not publish

  • Case studies, field notes, testimonials or results without documented evidence
  • Screens presented as real when they are mock-ups; illustrative examples are labeled
  • Numerical scorecards that claim to predict which leads will close
  • Real seller names, phone numbers or addresses in examples or sample data
  • Dates that are not actual publication or substantive modification dates

Bylines

Pages carry the byline “Seller Deal Desk editors” unless a real, consenting author has a verified profile.

Corrections

If a step no longer matches the product, or advice is wrong, it is corrected and, when material, logged with the date on the corrections page.
